About a year ago I added two meditations to my YouTube Channel. Both have the purpose to help you relax, relieve stress, and live more in the moment. I am so excited to say that I will be adding more on my channel soon! Not only will I be adding more meditations, but I am currently working on getting routines online too. These will be easy yoga routines for you to follow along with. I would love any requests you have, so please send me a comment or message! I look forward to hearing from you!

30-day Meditation challenge.

This last month has been a crazy one for our family. We moved from California to New Mexico! The move was so stressful and crazy, but we lived through it! From all the change and transitioning, my yoga and meditation routines have fallen to the way side. I am really excited to get settle again into our new home and start my routines again.

To begin, I am doing a 30-day meditation challenge with Unplug Meditation. I am really excited and the challenge begins on July 9th!

This is a great meditation to help release any tension, stress, anxiety, or frustration you may feel throughout your day. I have added in visual, physical and auditory tools including breathing techniques to help release tension in the body and mind.

I used to go live on Instagram every Tuesday night and lead a guided meditation. But now I am going to be posting them to my blog and my YouTube Channel. This way they can be saved and accessed whenever they are needed by you.

My first meditation to be posted is a guided meditation that you can do on it's own or before/after your personal yoga practice. You can do it seated or laying down in bed before going to sleep. It is a meditation to help live more in the moment and enjoy it more fully. I have incorporated some breathing exercises as well as visual and auditory tools to achieve this goal. This meditation can be done quickly whenever you are needing it or you can extend it out and continue it for however long you feel necessary.

Motherhood and meditation.

If you have been following me on closely on social media, you have probably noticed that I read a lot. There is always a new book I am studying to help my knowledge in a subject I am passionate about.

I have been focusing my recent studies on meditation and it's benefits, and in this process I have learned how important it is to meditate as a mother. Meditation alone, no matter your where you are in life, can benefit you greatly. It can bring the calm when nothing but chaos is found and it can bring peace when peace just doesn't seem possible. Meditation comes in many different styles. It can be laying in bed reflecting on the day or it can be driving in the car while you focus on the road. It can even be while you rock your baby to sleep, focusing on their breathing.

When it comes to being a parent, life is non-stop, and finding that time for ourselves can be hard. Meditation also gives that gift. It helps us focus on ourselves when we have been giving all of ourselves all day long to others. It helps us to slow down and ponder over our blessings. It helps us to live more in the moment and enjoy these times with those we love. 

Meditation is so important, but as a mother, it is vital. Even before becoming a mother, it can change your life. It can be a way to connect with your baby while it is growing inside your body. It can even help calm your body to prepare you for labor, or even if you are trying to get pregnant it can help! The list of benefits during motherhood is endless.

The book I have been reading lately is called 'Mindfulness for Mothers' by Rebecca Ryan. She talks about the benefits of meditation for mothers and she also gives many different ways to meditate with or without your baby and even includes meditations during pregnancy. She is a genius! I have been carrying this book around with me for some time now and I am excited to be able to share it with you.
