Using a bolster helps enhance the pose and creates more relaxation. The following poses are more restorative poses that can help you relax and relieve any tension in your back, hips, and legs. I am pregnant in the photos but each can be done by anyone at anytime.
This pose is great if you are pregnant because when you rest your upper body on the bolster, you are able to create more room for your belly. As I stated in my previous blog post (Bolster Support - Part I), when we are pregnant we can't do very many prone poses anymore. So this pose is what I consider as another 'pregnancy jewel'.
The bolster I like to use is from Hugger Mugger. I love the quality and comfort it gives. It is sturdy and soft. They have many different colors to choose from as well as other styles.
