Boat pose (Paripurna Navasana) is great for the core! This is a great one to do with your little one. Just put them on your lap and enjoy the pose! Below are a couple of modifications.
I would say this is the first step in completing the pose. Put your legs in a 90° angle and hold onto the back of your thighs.
Keeping your legs in a 90° angle, let go of the back of your thighs whenever you are ready. And then when you feel comfortable and stable, extend the legs out lifting the toes to the ceiling.
